Applicants need a minimum of 62 semester hours of undergraduate study. Submit transcripts and participate in a virtual interview. A cumulative GPA and a science GPA of 2.75 are considered minimally competitive.

Complete the program in 4 years of full-time study. The Wegmans School of Pharmacy strongly recommends that students commit a minimum of three hours each week for every one credit hour of enrollment during the semester. This commitment includes but is not limited to, pre-session work, live class meetings, as well as studying. Students are typically registered for 14-19 credit hours per semester.

Yes, the program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). This ensures your degree meets high academic standards and holds professional value for state licensure and practice.

The Wegmans School of Pharmacy at º£½ÇÉçÇø does consider students for transfer admission to both the campus pathway and online pathway of its Pharm.D. program. Transfer admission is granted on a case-by-case basis to transfer applicants who are in good academic standing at their previous/current College/School of Pharmacy in the United States.

Applicants must complete all required prerequisite coursework before enrolling in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy.

• The Wegmans School of Pharmacy strongly prefers grades of C or higher in prerequisite courses. Applicants with grades of C- may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• All science prerequisites must include a laboratory component, and AP credit is not accepted for science prerequisite courses.
• Admission offers are contingent upon successful completion of all prerequisite coursework with a grade of C (2.0) or better.
• Students must provide official documentation demonstrating completion of all prerequisite requirements before the start of the program.
• Failure to complete required prerequisite coursework or provide proof of completion before the start of the term may result in an offer of admission being rescinded.

Science prerequisite courses must generally be completed within five years of the admissions cycle in which you are applying. This requirement helps ensure applicants have current foundational knowledge needed for success in the PharmD curriculum.

Applicants who completed their science prerequisites more than five years ago may still be eligible for consideration if they have remained actively engaged in the sciences through professional practice, advanced coursework, research, teaching, or other relevant experiences. In these circumstances, applicants may apply for a waiver of the five-year science prerequisite requirement. Waiver requests are reviewed individually, and approval is not guaranteed.
